My Microbakery was created out of a very concrete challenge.

When my wife started her own microbakery, we experienced first-hand how much time goes into everything around the baking itself. Baking schedules had to be kept track of, orders came in from different channels, and it could be hard for new customers to even discover that the bakery existed.

So we began exploring how we could make everyday life easier for the small craft bakeries that are often run by one or a few passionate people. The result was Mikrobageri.dk.

Our first goal was to build a shared map of microbakeries where they can become visible and easier to find for customers who want to support local baking and genuine craftsmanship. But we also wanted to build the digital tools we missed ourselves: orders, baking schedules, statistics and other features that can save time in a busy day.

Behind My Microbakery are the two of us, two experienced software developers with a shared passion for building solutions that make a real difference.

As developers, we don't see My Microbakery as a finished product. Quite the opposite.

We build the platform in close dialogue with the bakeries that use it. That's why we're always open to ideas, wishes and feedback. If something can be done smarter, simpler or more useful, we'd love to hear about it. Many of the features on the platform today have come from dialogue with bakers, and that's how we hope it continues.

Our ambition is simple: to make it easier to run a microbakery while making it easier for customers to find and support the many skilled craft bakers across the Nordics.
